Sutton Schools Christian Workers Trust was founded in 1995 to support the provision of collective worship in Sutton's schools and to increase the knowledge and understanding of the Christian faith among children and young people. SSCWT have two full-time schools workers, one working in the primary schools and the other in the secondary. Their work includes Bible based assemblies, Religious Education and Citizenship lessons, Christian groups in primary and secondary schools, events for Christian teachers, sixth form conferences, training for others going into schools and church deputation visits. They also work with local churches to provide events for children and young people. Use the menu on the left to find out more about different aspects of the work, to download a copy of the newsletter or prayer diary or find out how you can support us. The Trust is overseen by a management committee consisting of teachers, head teachers, local clergy, and church members. The work is funded by individuals and churches of various denominations.
